My game You Only Live Once has been selected as one of 10 indie titles to be presented at the Sense of Wonder Night at the Tokyo Game Show in late September.

Here's a screenshot from my latest project, a shmup with the working title "Turnip vs Face Ship Empire".

I made a short "follow-up" (not a sequel) to You Only Live Once.

Play it here on Newgrounds

Basically... you need to have played "You Only Live Once" first. Secondly, the game will make more sense if you have played Jesse Venbrux' Execution.

This is not bitingly smart or anything, it's just a little tribute.

I've uploaded my latest game You Only Live Once to the portal. Can't wait to hear what newgrounders will make out of it (since 97% of the commenters at Kongregate are complete morons).

Go rate it! Write a review! Tell me what you think.

(personally, I think Free Will turned out loads better, but I'm not sure others will agree)

You Only Live Once, my new game!

Did you enjoy Free Will?

Please consider digging it.

Hi, I'm looking for volunteers to translate my latest game. It's a platformer.

I already have translations in Danish, Swedish, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, German, Portugese, Russian taken. I'm especially looking for Italian and Turkish, but I'm interested in more.

All in all it's about 35 lines, and I'm looking for somebody with a firm understanding of English, as well as the language they're translating into (preferably native speakers). You should hopefully be able to translate the humor as well as the meaning of the lines.

You'll get in-game credits and exclusive bragging rights.

Oh, and about the April Fools thing - it's fun, because it's racist.

"You Have To Defecate Upon King Bhumibol" was mentioned in The Herald Sun, Australia's highest-circulating daily newspaper.

And what a mention!

... a computer game offending the Thai king has been launched.
"Someone sent me the link (to the game), which I think is in poor taste," Forde Nicolaides said.
"This is the sort of thing that is emerging and I have said to the [Thai] embassy that the best you can do is move this along quickly before more distasteful rubbish comes out."

Forde Nicolaides is the brother of the guy who was imprisoned, but now released. It's kinda cool to think that they used my game to lobby for his release..! Wish they had mentioned the name of the game, though! Or better yet, asked me for a comment.

WIP on a platformer game, to be released next week. If I can find a sponsor quickly enough, that is.

WHEEL OF MISFORTUNE

I ask one simple thing of you:
Vote 5 at Kongregate (if you think that's what it's worth)

in return you get my undying, eternal love.

The game, well, I'm not really happy with it, but I think it looks very nice and shiny. I made it in 4 days, plus one day for adding multi-language support. Haggling over sponsorship took forever though (and Tom Fulp didn't respond to my e-mail! Sulk)...

But it's in swf (but yes, it's real, actual video, not a cartoon) and I need to convert it to avi so I can use it with my video editing software. The first swf2avi software I downloaded refused to install and the second one threw me an error. If anybody has software + knowhow to help me convert this bugger, feel free to PM me.

Any help would be much appreciated..! And I'd give you an actual real name credit in the documentary about him that I'm making.

I'll start working on the sequel to the game Doeo soon. It wasn't on the frontpage for a very long time but it still became a major hit, appearing in LA Times, Time Out Chicago, Metro, PC Gamer UK, kotaku.com, Adobe.com showcase, to mention but a few.

I need music before I start doing the stages. Mark "Khuskan" Jefferis has benevolently agreed to make the main part of the soundtrack (well to be honest I'm not sure that's exactly what he agreed to but something along those lines) but I thought it'd be cool to maybe have a few tracks from other amazingly talented people as well.

So..! If you're interested, PM or e-mail me at (superbrightfuture gmail.com)

I want songs that are either 42 seconds long, or 21 and looping (i.e. it would be played twice during a stage).

Style? I don't want to limit myself but the original Doeo soundtrack was pretty lauded and well-received. Something in that vein won't be wrong. Also, there are a few genres I really don't really like and that wouldn't fit with the Doeo theme. Some that I can think of straight away are techno, heavy metal and trance. I prefer lounge, psychadelia and katamari damacy (yes, that's a music genre :)).

If I end up using your song, I'll pay you (we can discuss the pricing). I'd prefer songs that aren't already published in the Audio portal, but if you've already got something you think would fit, let me know!

Oh, and I still need people to animate a few stages, I'll make a detailed post about that once I have the soundtrack sorted.
