I've uploaded my latest game You Only Live Once to the portal. Can't wait to hear what newgrounders will make out of it (since 97% of the commenters at Kongregate are complete morons).

(personally, I think Free Will turned out loads better, but I'm not sure others will agree)

nope, you didn't get it if you think it doesn't have anything to do with free will. i'm not talking about the pun. and I might be pretentious but I'm not an asshole.
Well, I reloaded the page hoping that maybe I would eventually become a zombie. I ended up watching the grass grow, and any game that makes me exited by watching grass grow is fine by me. Also, it was quite funny.
Like, listen. I don't know how you feel about free will, because you've never actually made a statement about it, you just made a game that happens to have the title "free will", but listen. If the idea was everything we do is pretedetermined and there is no such thing as freewill, then you could make it so you start the game and can't control yourself, and that would be a way of conveying the message. Or maybe you believe our actions are decided based on our environment and maybe you're in like a room and you can stand near a guy who jumps high or stand near a guy who shoots a gun and then you can go into the game and you will have those abilities and the message is based on our surroundings we learn how we behave and the choices we end up making and that is a kind of freewill, but no. Or maybe you believe we have complete freewill and then you die and restart and can control yourself differently and that's that. But no.
Your game you play it, die, and it repeats what you did, and that has nothing to fucking do with freewill, its just a bullshit pretentious game.

I can understand what you're trying to say but REALLY you make a fine platformer the we can only play once is just sad. We may only live once but we should play twice (or more) now I can never play the game and the life lesson was obvious D:
I'm pretty sure somewhere in the game you HAVE to die and there's no chance of beating it. That's not very nice you horrible meanie. Why don't you make a platformer that's actually playable instead of inserting bad puns and more than limited lives. At least make the games called "you only play once" and "save will" you're a good person so make a REAL game.

uh dude i know you get to play once but if i referesh to play another time it won't work so the game is really crap:( you should fix that if i want to play again that i can.
if you could do that I wouldn't be able to call the game "you only live once"
I reloaded the page to look at everything that was written on that black screen before the game starts, and I end up with the game over screen. I feel rather disappointed that I didn't get a chance to play the game.
I think I recall an interview with Hideo Kojima saying he wanted to make a game like this.

Free Will and this game have basically the same gameplasy, Free Will has much better graphics, but "You Only Live Once" is a clear pun-like joke that is pretty funny, while Free Will has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO FUCKING DO WITH THE CONCEPT OF FREE WILL, so this one is better.
