It is pretty funny

But I think you are behaving childishly and stupid. How can you not get that wikipedia isn't a showcase for "works by aspiring artists" but it is (trying to be) an encyclopedia with entries on stuff worth mentioning! Yes, loads of articles ARE deleted every day and even if I think this cartoon is pretty funny I do simply not think it's big enough to have a Wikipedia entry. The best example to this is probably the fact that you, the creator, is so desperate to have one that you'll actually make a (admittedly pretty funny) movie to try and force wikipedia to keep your article! And why do you want it so bad? Because it is a recognition? Well, if you're forcing people to recognize you what's the point of it?
Wikipedia is not about stuff that "brings a bit of happiness to thousands of people worldwide". Did you not know that Wikipedia is run on no-profit principles, completely ad-free and the only money they have to use for bandwith etc is what users donate to the organization? If every Tom, Dick and Harry wants to have their own entry in Wikipedia because they think their worth it, do you understand what an incredible increase in cost it would be? There must be rules on what can be included, and sometimes you might find them unnecesarily though (not in this case though) but generally it's for the best of Wikipedia! Wikipedia is a wonderful experiment bringing information and power to people who previously had no way of accessing it. I think Wikipedia will truly have an impact on modern history. Please don't fuck around with it just because you feel important. But keep on making good funny animations and maybe one day Fred the Monkey will actually be big enough to warrant an entry. But it's going to take you more than just some egoistical flash campaigning...

JKR responds:

Okay, well first of all, I really couldn't care less if Fred the Monkey is in Wikipedia. I don't really give a crap if anything I do makes it in. As long as the cartoons I do are making people happy, that is A-OK with me.

What I DO have a problem with is the way Wikipedia folks are going about deleting things. You don't tell someone they are "non-notable" just because YOU don't think they are. Sorry, but that doesn't sit well with me. That IS the reason most people give up their dreams. And it just isn't right.

They have no authority to judge people's works themselves without doing any research first. Half of the people who decide whether something is deleted or not are simply saying "Fail" or some other harsh meaningless word, and how would that affect you if you were just starting out? Perhaps it wouldn't but I can tell you with certainty that many people WOULD be devestated by such heartless idiocy.

If Wikipedia is non-profit and ad-free (much like FredtheMonkey.com is) then good for them, but I'll cry no tears if they run out of bandwidth because they have too many entries and are TOO popular. Boo hoo, they get lots of people who use their site? What kind of sense does that make? Sorry, doesn't work for me.

Anyway, I'm glad you liked the cartoon, and sorry we can't agree on this subject. Thanks you very much for taking the time to voice your opinions about Wikipedia to me, because it has been very helpful information, even if I still don't agree. =)

your animations are still awesome

looking forward to see more from you!

good fun

I think it's amazing though that it took you about three years to introduce all the main characters :D

I think you shouldn't feel you absolutely HAVE TO include every single strip, take some liberties, skip some strips! my five cents anyway.

Good job!

weird

that was ... weird. awesome and weird. god I hated those silly unicorns!!

good luck with the adult swim pilots, you might actually stand a chance!

nice

I really liked the message, I think it was well-thought out but I'm not too sure I would have understood he was the reaper-man unless you had said so in your author comments (and now you've removed it... no surprise people don't get it!) I mean, there really aren't many clues are there...

uh-huh

dialogue was a bit random, long-winded and not especially funny. sounds a little too much like something my younger brother would do. pace was SLOW SLOW GRINDINGLY SLOW and if you're making more episodes of this you absolutely have to speed it up. graphics were ok, homestar runner-style. the voices could have been better, but seeing you're probably not a native English speaker that's forgiveable. you hit the frontpage anyway, congrats. remember what I told you about the pace now will ya

so yeah

this is the best portal submission ever, what more can one say? glad the music is a lot more endurable than in the first episode.

my 5 c

why are you saying the first episode "apparently sucked ass", as if a majority of the NG viewers had that opinion? you got one, count 'em, ONE review on the first flick who gave you lower than 4, a 0. that's really uncommonly few, even for something good! Nobody likes to get bad reviews but you can't avoid a few morons so what I suggest is no more whining, just live with it.

In my opinion, this is alot better than the first episode, mainly because you can finally hear what they're saying! but some of the voices are still too muffled, and I'd really like to see a subtitle option. while on the subject of sound, you could need ALOT more sound effects. try findsounds (.com) or something.

graphics are good, animation is excellent, but lip synching is bad.

story is a bit confusing, but interesting...

keep up the good work

this boy needs therapy

you're crazy in the coconut

it's synj so of course it's bloody great

I liked it, like I always like your stuff. But I don't like the musical score, I have this feeling you're overusing classical music a bit... I thought it was ok in synj vs. horrid but I dunno... if you use it all the time, it kinda loses it's oomph. and somehow it felt just like any other "DESTRUCTION!!!"-video with bombastic classical music. only, of course, and this is important, only it was SYNJ! ... but seriously though, would have been better with some other music. my humble opinion!
