well

liked the music, big Nightmare before Christmas-fan, but I didn't recognize the lyrics, they were not the original ones were they? except for the music, this film was pretty horrible though. the sound quality of the voices in the end was just unspeakably bad, the animation et graphics were utterly crappy. and, as is always the case with nearly every portal entry, far too short. still, suppose you probably got the capacity to do something worthwile, if you set your mind to it. because this is definately not it.

hehe, pure gold

I should start by saying that the animation was really nice. I couldn't see a single flaw, and heck, I didn't even think about the backgrounds (which obviously is a good thing). This was a good, short spoof. Well worth watching.

pink beast

what can I say... extremely well-drawn, albeit disgusting character design. sort of funny, but I dunno... a serial killing pig? hehe. too short, at any rate, but still, pretty good.

neat

love the animation, but the pacing was horrible. you make pretty cool stuff though.

bloody hell are people stupid

read through a few reviews, and loads of people actually think synj has "joined the clock crew", whatever that's supposed to mean. fer fuck's sake, just because synj all of a sudden is a clock doesn't mean synj all of a sudden is a clock crew member, or whatever. anyway, this film is hilarious. you're the most wicked flash animator I've seen. cheers mate

what can I say

except for the obvious "cool"? not much. cool.

a case of wasted talent

you draw really good, but this is so unoriginal... NG already got a million sticks-killing-each-other-flic ks. still, I'd be a moron if I gave you a low grade.

really nice

The animation was really nice, I just must get one of them computer pens... the sound, on the other hand, was just a big mess, especially in the beginning, when that flower-character fell asleep. overall, the story was a bit jerky and not especially funny. additionally, it was too slow-paced and I don't really think the comic timing was all that good. I didn't laugh, nor smirk. I just watched.

I think you did succeed with the character design, they look pretty good and original. their voices did on the other hand appear to be a bit forced. the backdrops were a nice touch, but they looked a bit shoddy. could need more work, and maybe you should use higher resolutions for them. I don't think the filesize was a problem as it is now, so you could afford it.

Anyways, the criticism is only meant as feedback, it's a really good start for a series. and looks a hundred times better than Ytown Public.

Cheers mate

McRhyme responds:

Alright, is Mackan! First off I want congratulate you on your games. I thought that the game with the green toad was great! Really cool. I know that I was disapointed when you didn't add Fred the Subtitute in your Portal Fighter - Bad move! We would have been best friends for ever man! Oh well, I guess I'll live. You gave me a nine so I guess you must have liked it even though you used some hard words. Not easy to impress you is it? No, I guess not.

It would be great if you did tell me where the pacing was bad. I know it stinks when Quadro says the line -"I think I'll pass" but really was nothing I could do.

Yes, do get one pen. My brand is WACOM and that's the best. It cost like £700. Really cheap!

Cheers mate! (I lived in London 6 months last year. I bet you're having a great time :)

well

that was incredibly slow... might have been my computer, but anyway. terribly animated. not utterly worthless, but utterly "un-good". And ju-jutsu (Japanese transcription of the word according to Hepburn, I'm not objecting to your spelling though)? There's no ju-jutsu in this film. I'm a 2nd kyu so I should know, shouldn't I?

well done but

naive, romantic and, in the end, wrong (although you didn't come up with it on your own). the whole concept of libertarian capitalism does sound nice in this presentation, but what can I say... I doubt that even if people were this nice, and followed these "guidelines for life", it would lead to "fairness". For example, is property really the result of your work and time etc? You don't have to be a social Einstein to realise that people are born into the world with property - in the end, this is the real theft.

LuxLucre responds:

Hey, it's not about being "nice" at all, it's about not initiating force. You can still be a hard person, no one says you have to love every one, just behave yourself and don't hit them unless they hit you first.
